Overton golf finishes 8th
OVERTON – Buses and vans lined off Highway 30 as the Overton Golf Club was the site for the Overton Invite Friday morning.
Overton sat in eighth place out of 13 teams all by themselves, but still too far out of reach of the teams ahead of them.
Alec Ibach of S-E-M finished in the third place with a score of 84, while Evan Ibach took 11th with his 18-hole score of 88.
No one from Overton, the Lexington JV or Cozad JV finished on the top leaderboard for the day, as Cole Pritchard of Pleasanton took the individual gold with a solid round of 81.
Pleasanton also took the team title with a total combined score of 347. Overton finished with a 395, while the Lexington JV finished in ninth with a 453 and the Cozad JV finished in 10th with a score of 494.
The Overton golf team was in action Monday and Tuesday, taking part in the Cozad Reserve Invite and the Fort Kearny Conference Golf meet in Pleasanton.
