LEXINGTON – The weather was starting to warm up Thursday afternoon as the Lexington boys’ tennis team took to the hard courts for their first action of the season.
The Minutemen looked as if in mid-season form, as Lexington won a majority of the games throughout the dual with the Hastings Tigers, as the Minutemen were victorious, winning the dual 6-3.
In #1 Doubles, the team of seniors Aaron Luther and Joel Monter used their experience and speed to take down the team of Matthew Broks and Kyle Strommer 8-6.
In other doubles action, the team of Henry Bran and Shad Wellmann were also victorious in their match, winning a 9-7 thriller over Fran Ferrone and Kayd Welke.
In singles action, Lexington won four of the six singles matches, as Luther, Monter, Bran and Sam Morgan notched solid victories.
The Minutemen tennis team will host a triangular on Thursday, Sept. 2, starting at 2 p.m.
