NORTH PLATTE – The Lexington girls’ golf team was also on the road in North Platte, as the Maids took on the Lady Bulldogs in a dual on the links.
The Lady Bulldogs took care of business as they took down the Lex linksters 225-243.
Senior Abrea Hernandez took second in the dual, as she and North Platte’s Karissa Moreland were neck and neck, with Moreland finishing on top 47-48.
Senior Rachael Leibhart also took care of her dual with Karli Montgomery, as Leibhart took her match 50-58.
The third and fourth golfers were the deciding factors in Tuesday’s dual, as Rachel Linch and Kelli Bomberger shot a combined score of 145, while Rachel Mullen and Tessa Burford of North Platte finished with a 120, which ultimately gave North Platte the victory.
The Maids were also in action on Thursday as the took part in the York Invitational.
Regardless of the wind, the Maids seem to find their stroke easier on Thursday, finishing in third place.
Hernandez once again led the Minutemaids, as her tie for first place (86) helped keep Lexington in the hunt.
Leibhart also finished high on the leaderboard, as her 93 was good enough to land her in third place, directly behind Hernandez.
Kelli Bomberger finished with a 125, while Rachel Linch shot a 158 and Leslie Santana ended with a 165.
Seward was the overall winner of the York Invite as the Lady Jays finished with a team score of 407.
The Maids golf team had a busy week as they ended the week on Friday in North Platte for the North Platte Invitational.
