Last, but certainly not least, is the Wild Horse Golf Club at Gothenburg. The newest of the Dawson County golf courses, Wild Horse opened in 1999 on 330 acres north of Gothenburg.

Since then, the accolades have poured in. That first year, Wild Horse was ranked as the third best, new, affordable golf course by Golf Digest. Golf Week magazine dubbed Wild Horse the 18th best modern course in the country shortly afterwards.

Green fees are $19.00 for nine holes, Monday through Thursday and $21.10 Friday through Sunday. Eighteen holes played Monday through Thursday are $34.82 and $40.11 Friday through Sunday.

Nine holes with a cart rental are $25.35 Monday through Thursday and $27.45 Friday through Sunday. Monday through Thursday 18 holes with a cart costs $48.50 and Friday through Sunday the fee is $52.75.
