Camping rates are $10/day for tents and $15/day for all electrical hookups. A sandy beach on the southeast end of the lake awaits swimmers and sunbathers.
Another modern camping area with 30 camping pads and two paved handicapped accessible pads is south of the inlet on the west side of Johnson Lake. The area also has restrooms, a boat ramp, a handicapped accessible fishing pier and a fish cleaning station. The other side of the inlet has primitive camping sites and a second handicapped accessible fishing pier.
For those who don’t want to rough it in tents, two lake businesses also offer cabin rentals. At Mido’s there are eight cabins with two double beds in each cabin. For reservations call 308-785-2298. Lakeshore Marina has 10 cabins with kitchenettes and two double beds in each cabin. For reservations call 308-785-2148 or 308-785-2836.
